Mumbai: Bullet, the micro-drama app known for its short-format, binge-worthy content, has appointed Preetam Thingalaya as Vice President – Marketing, according to his LinkedIn announcement.
In his new role, Thingalaya will lead Bullet’s marketing and brand strategy as the platform looks to expand its footprint in the rapidly growing short-format entertainment space.
Thingalaya brings with him over two decades of diverse experience spanning digital marketing, media strategy, and brand building. Prior to joining Bullet, he spearheaded the brand and marketing initiatives for Eshtory, an original audio storytelling platform, as Head of Marketing.
Earlier in his career, he has held key positions at Mirum India: A VML Company, Zee5, Mindshare, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), among others. His expertise spans building digital ecosystems, leading cross-functional teams, driving creator-brand collaborations, and delivering measurable ROI across entertainment, FMCG, e-commerce, and technology sectors.
The appointment comes as Zee Entertainment, in partnership with Bullet, gears up to deliver vertical-format, bite-sized episodes designed for binge-watching. The platform aims to create creator-led stories with strong emotional resonance, tailored for India’s fast-evolving digital audience.
With Thingalaya’s extensive experience and Zee’s creative backing, Bullet is expected to strengthen its position as a key player in India’s emerging micro-drama and short-video entertainment ecosystem.
