New Delhi: The Pro Wrestling League (PWL), a professional wrestling competition, has announced Sony Sports Network as its official broadcast partner for the highly anticipated 2026 season. Marking its return after a seven-year hiatus, the fifth season of PWL will go live in January 2026 with a refreshed vision, athlete-first approach, and a renewed focus on showcasing elite wrestling talent to audiences in India and globally.
As part of the partnership, Sony Sports Network will broadcast PWL matches live across Sony Sports Ten 4 and Sony Sports Ten 5 TV channels. Fans will also be able to stream the action on Sony LIV, ensuring seamless access across television and digital platforms.
The upcoming season will feature six city-based franchise teams—Delhi Dangal Warriors, Tiigers of Mumbai Dangal, Haryana Thunders, Punjab Royals, Maharashtra Kesari, and UP Dominators—competing in a fast-paced, competitive league format. The season will see participation from top Indian wrestlers alongside international talent, blending Olympic-style wrestling with a modern league presentation. The franchises roped in a total of 63 Indian and international grapplers from a pool of over 250 wrestlers representing 16 countries, with player auctions crossing INR 11 crore.
“We are thrilled to partner with Sony Sports Network, one of the most respected sports broadcasters in the country to bring the Pro Wrestling League back into living rooms nationwide,” said Akhil Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Pro Wrestling League. “This collaboration is a major milestone in our mission to grow wrestling’s appeal, celebrate its athletes, and build a sustainable future for the sport in India and abroad.”
The partnership underscores Sony Sports Network’s continued focus on expanding its sports portfolio beyond mainstream properties, while leveraging its production and distribution expertise to deliver a high-quality viewing experience and elevate the league’s on-air presentation.
