New Delhi: Publicis Groupe has secured the global media account for PayPal, marking another major addition to its string of high-profile wins this year. The development follows a multi-agency pitch process, as reported by Ad Age.
The mandate was previously handled by WPP’s GroupM, which stepped away from the business in April 2025 after managing it since late 2023. The exit was part of GroupM’s internal strategic shift to prioritize other global opportunities.
This win underscores Publicis Groupe’s strong momentum in 2025, adding PayPal to an impressive roster of global media clients, which already includes Mars, Coca-Cola, and Paramount.
The appointment comes at a crucial time for PayPal, which is doubling down on its PayPal Ads initiative — an expanding retail media platform aimed at monetizing transaction-level data and deepening engagement with merchants and consumers. With Publicis Groupe onboard, the digital payments giant aims to further accelerate its advertising ambitions globally.
