Mumbai: Global sportswear major PUMA has entered into a multi-year global partnership with McLaren Racing, marking a significant expansion of its motorsports portfolio and underlining the growing convergence of sport, fashion and fan culture.
Under the alliance, PUMA will become the official supplier of performance-driven team kits across McLaren Racing’s diverse competitive platforms. The partnership spans the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team, McLaren’s entries in F1 Academy, the McLaren F1 Sim Racing Team, and from 2027 onwards, the McLaren United AS WEC Hypercar Team.
Beyond the track, the collaboration places a strong emphasis on fan engagement. PUMA will roll out two distinct fanwear lines under the partnership. The Replica Collection mirrors official team and driver apparel, drawing heavily from McLaren’s signature papaya colourway. Complementing this, the Lifestyle Collection is positioned as motorsport-inspired streetwear, blending McLaren’s racing heritage with contemporary design cues for everyday wear.
The partnership also includes a slate of immersive fan-focused activations aimed at deepening engagement with McLaren Racing’s global audience. The first experience is scheduled to debut at the opening Formula 1 race of the season in Australia, with further activations planned across key markets during the year.
Arthur Hoeld, CEO of PUMA, said the collaboration builds on the brand’s long-standing legacy in motorsports. He described it as an opportunity to “write the next chapter” by partnering with McLaren Racing, noting the team’s recent on-track success and global appeal.
From McLaren’s side, CEO Zak Brown highlighted the sport’s growing attractiveness to lifestyle and fashion brands. He said the partnership with PUMA would significantly strengthen McLaren’s fanwear offering, enabling supporters to express their passion for motorsport both at the circuit and beyond.
The rollout of the collections will begin in Asia, with the PUMA x McLaren Racing Lifestyle Collection launching in Singapore on January 20, followed by the Replica Collection on February 2.
