Delhi: Quint Digital Limited (QDL), a media-tech company, has officially signed a franchise agreement with Time Out Group, the globally renowned brand synonymous with curating the best of city life. The collaboration marks the highly anticipated launch of Time Out India, a multi-platform lifestyle and cultural initiative designed to transform how Indian consumers and travelers discover and engage with the country’s urban experiences.
This strategic alliance will bring Time Out Media to India through a digital-first content platform and paves the way for potential Time Out Market venues — immersive, food and culture-focused spaces that celebrate the best of India’s cities under one roof.
The partnership’s immediate milestone will be the launch of timeout.com/india, along with supporting social media, video, and other digital channels. This platform will serve as the definitive guide to India’s cities, featuring curated editorial content by local expert journalists across categories like food, drink, culture, entertainment, and events. It is designed to inspire locals and visitors alike with trusted, curated recommendations and will offer powerful opportunities for brands through customized multi-channel campaigns.
Importantly, this franchise agreement gives QDL the exclusive rights to explore and operate Time Out Markets in India, bringing a world-renowned food and cultural destination model to Indian cities. These experiential venues — already successful in cities such as New York, Dubai, and Chicago — will showcase the best local chefs, restaurants, mixologists, and cultural talent, blending editorial curation with real-life discovery and engagement.
Ritu Kapur, Managing Director and CEO, QDL, said, “Urban India, especially its younger, always-curious crowd, is craving something fresh, bold, and out of the box when it comes to lifestyle and food. With Time Out, we’re excited to bring a game-changing experience to the country. This partnership blends QDL’s pulse on India’s digital-first youth — and also visitors to our country — with Time Out’s global knack for spotlighting the best in culture, food, and city life.”
Raghav Bahl, Director and Promoter, QDL, added, “Together, we’ll inspire discovery, spotlight the best of our cities, and offer brands powerful new ways to engage with a discerning, experience-hungry audience.”
Chris Ohlund, CEO of Time Out Group plc, shared, “We are pleased to partner with Quint Digital to launch Time Out in India across key cities and beyond – one of the world’s most vibrant travel destinations with a rapidly evolving food scene, it presents an incredible opportunity for Time Out’s unique blend of curated content and experiences. With The Quint’s expert team, Time Out India will become the definitive go-to place for the very best of urban culture across key cities.
“In addition, this is the first time that a franchise partner in one country will not only operate Time Out Media but will also explore Time Out Market opportunities. This partnership comes at a time when we increasingly operate Media and Market – an unmatched digital and real-life model – as one brand to cement Time Out as a unique proposition, both for consumers and commercial partners to connect with this valuable audience. We look forward to celebrating the best of India along with its vibrant cities with our curated content and experiences.”
This collaboration represents a significant step in QDL’s expansion beyond news and digital media into lifestyle and culture, leveraging its expertise in publishing tech, video production, and AI-powered audience engagement.
