Bengaluru: Zee Channels in South has witnessed some major changes in leadership position of various South Channels and the latest development is the Deputy Business Head of Zee Kannada being elevated as the Business Head.
Raghavendra Hunsur who is known for his successful programming track record in Kannada GEC Market is also essaying the role Programming head of Zee Kannada, will now essay the role of Business Head. Raghavendra joined Zee Kannada as Programming Head and was instrumental in taking the channel to next level of growth.
Zee Kannada one of the leading GEC in Kannada market has been constantly providing differentiated and unique content to its viewers despite the challenging business environment.
Raghavendra’s elevation comes at the backdrop of Mr Siju Prabhakaran’s new assignment to run the Business of Zee Tamil. In his currently role as Business Head Raghavendra would be responsible for driving the overall P&L of Zee Kannada.
Raghavendra Hunsur hails from Mysore and graduated for the Mysore University. He worked at Suvarna as Executive Producer from 2006 to 2008 and continued work there as the head of Non-Fiction from 2009 to 2012 He was instrumental in launching Kannada Kotiyadhipathi (Kannada Version of KBC) on Suvarna.
During October 2012 he Joined ETV Kannada as the Head of Non-Fiction and launched the maiden season of Bigg Boss Kannada with actor Kiccha Sudeep that took the channel to a new high.
When Siju Prabhakaran took over as the Business Head of Zee Kannada, he roped in Raghavendra Hunsur from ETV Kannada as Deputy Business Head and the duo managed to turn the fortune of the channel. It seems Zee Group management has rewarded both of them with bigger responsibilities based on their past success record.
