RAM Ratings of week 50; Big FM leads with improved market share in Mumbai

RAM Ratings of week 50

Mumbai : According to the RAM Ratings of week 50 for the four Indian metros during the period between 6th Dec to 12th December, the following are the listenership status of various FM stations:

Bangalore:

Radio City stood strong at the top spot with 23.8 per cent of listenership pie, followed by rival Big FM with 21.6 per cent shares.

Radio Mirchi remained at third position, but its listenership went down from 17.2 per cent of total market shares in week 49 to 16.7 per cent shares.

Fever FM witnessed a hike in terms of listenership. It stood at fourth spot with 14.3 per cent of listenership pie, up from last week’s 13.9 per cent shares. With 5.2 per cent of total market shares, Red FM stood at fifth spot.

Big FM’s Big Coffee With RJ Shruti continued to lead the top show chart, followed by Radio City’s City Muthu with RJ Rachna. Fever FM’s Radio Magazine with RJ Divya climbed to third position; surpassed Radio Mirchi’s Hi Bengaluru with RJ Smitha.

Kolkata:

No major changes have been witnessed in Kolkata market it terms of both listenership and ranking. With 20 per cent of total market shares, Radio Mirchi topped the chart once again.

Fever FM stood at second position with 14.5 per cent of listenership pie, followed closely by Big FM with 14.2 per cent shares.

At fourth spot was Oye FM with 10.6 per cent of total market shares, while Aamar FM remained at fifth spot with 9.6 per cent shares.

Radio Mirchi’s Kaali Kotha with RJ Jaganath and Breakfast show with RJ Mir topped the chart once again. Big FM’s Mad Mornings with RJ Shekhar and RJ Manali occupied third position.

New Delhi:

FM radio players in capital city witnessed dip in terms of listenership. Fever FM maintained its lead, but its listenership went down from 20.1 per cent of total market shares in week 49 to 19.2 per cent shares.

Radio Mirchi remained at second spot with 13.9 per cent of listenership pie, down from last week’s 14.6 per cent shares. For Radio City, it was a week of no profit and no loss. It stood at third position with 12.3 per cent of total market shares.

Big FM and Red FM emerged as the only gainers. Big FM occupied fourth spot with 11.9 per cent of listenership pie, whereas as Red FM stood at fifth spot with 11.2 per cent of total market shares, up from week 49’s 10.2 per cent shares.

Fever FM’s Dilli Ke Do Dabang with RJ Manu and Abhilash led the chart, followed by Full on Punjabi with RJ Avinash and Evening Drive with RJ Nitin.

Mumbai:

In Mumbai, Big FM not only continued to top the chart, but also its listenership increased from 17.8 per cent of total market shares in last week to 18.1 per cent shares.

Radio City remained at second spot with 17 per cent of listenership pie, down from week 49’s 17.3 per cent shares, followed by Fever FM retained its third position, but its listenership decreased from 15.3 per cent shares in previous week to 15 per cent shares.

Radio Mirchi’s listenership also went down from 13.7 per cent of total market shares in week 49 to 12.5 per cent shares. Whereas on the other side, Red FM was the only gainer with 11.1 per cent of listenership pie, up from last week’s 10.4 per cent shares.

Big FM’s Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor climbed to top spot, while Radio City’s Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi with RJ Gaurav slipped to second position. Big FM’s Breakfast Show with RJ Siddharth remained at third spot.
