RBU Shyam Kumar launches Cornerstone; first experiential marketing firm in South India

Chennai: RBU Shyam Kumar, the former CEO of New Gen Media Corporation and Puthiyathalaimurai TV, has announce the launch of Cornerstone – Channel Channelizers, the first experiential marketing firm in South India.

Apparently, Cornerstone will be a one-stop shop for all channels that is specialized to launch and build brands. It also offers HR consultancy for media to identify and rope in the right talent to meet their assignments.

In addition Cornerstone will provide turnkey solutions, undertake market surveys, conduct media research and it cal also ideate and execute events.

It may be noted that the top National and International media networks are exploring the South Indian market. However, they are having difficulty in marketing their brands across various South Indian markets and also face difficulty in hiring the right talents as there is no proper professional agencies available to cater their needs with enough specialization in this domain. Often they were forced to work with fly-by-night operators and end up with obnoxious campaigns and wrong hiring of people for top profile Media jobs. Cornerstone is expected to address these issues and bring in a professional approach in all its areas of expertise.

Speaking exclusively to tvnews4u.com, RBU Shyam said, “Cornerstone is the first end-to-end marketing home in South India – where we Ideate, Market, Execute and Follow-up the marketing solutions for our clients in Media World. So it will be a lasting relationship. While we are not an event management company, Cornerstone is a 360 degree solution provider rights from launching a brand to following up till its successful take off. 

Presently, the South Indian Market is affected by fly-by-night operators in this area and they operate with the motive of swindling the money and vanish even though this category is a deep pocketed market. So, Cornerstone will undertake brand launches with a plan of one year tie-up and ensure that it grows persistently and purposefully to achieve the desired volume of equity.

Secondly, we will be offering HR solutions to fit in the right people at the right place and off load wrong people off the Bus.  As we always believe right people always motivate others around them and progress in positive direction. With 25 years of association with major media brands, I believe that leading media networks will benefit from us and save their unnecessary expenditure on wrong resources.

Thirdly, we will also be acting as marketing concessionaires, undertaking the ad-sales responsibilities of various channels across India.

In addition to the above, with our expertise we can the brands deep in to the roads and travel with them to understand today’s market needs. This can be achieved with Market Survey for Media entities and Brands to understand the changing demands of the viewers / consumers. Hence, we will also be offering services like Market Survey and Media Research to analyse the Brand performance, Property analysation and Electoral market survey. Major Broadcasters will be benefiting out of this services and shape their strategies for this market based on the survey results” added Shyam.
