RED FM’s Mera Josh Mahaan campaign is dedicated to all the cricket lovers: Nisha Narayanan

Capitalizing on the World Cup fever, RED FM has launched an anthem in support of team India, with its campaign ‘Mera Josh Mahaan’.

Taking the passion, thrill and craziness of the World Cup a notch higher, RED FM tied up with Divya Kumar, a leading Bollywood playback singer and created an upbeat track which stirs passion in the hearts of cricket lovers. The anthem also features ‘The Bharat Army’, India’s biggest cricket supporters club globally. It captures the nation-wide love for cricket and echoes the emotions of die-hard cricket fans.

Medianews4u.com spoke to Nisha Narayanan, COO, RED FM,on the launch of the campaign. She said, “For Indian cricket fans, cricket is an emotion. People follow cricket like a religion, and RED FM’sMera Josh Mahaan campaignis dedicated to all the cricket lovers who would go to any lengths to watch a live cricket match. Capturing trends for our listeners has always been important for us as it helps us relate better with our audience. Keeping the Josh high,RED FM is giving cricket fans a chance to experience a live World Cup match in England.”

“As part of the campaign in association with The Bharat Army,we are also running a slogan contest on our RED FM app where 12 lucky fans across India will win an all-expense paid trip to Englandto cheer for the Indian cricket team overseas.The listeners can participate by downloading the RED FM app and suggest slogan for the Cricket World Cup.”

On how Radio can leverage digital, Narayanan, said, “There is no denying the fact that today, the digital space is growing at a phenomenal speed and everyone wants to leverage itincluding the radio industry. Every radio brand has their own YouTube channel and content specifically made for digital platforms.”

“RED FM’s digital app is a step towards bringing the wholesome vibrancy of the brand closer to its audiences. The RED FM app is packed with highly interactive content featuring, behind the scenes, making of the radio shows, campaigns and engaging content like ‘Bauaa’ and ‘Nand Kishore Bairagi’, among others.”

“RED FM is looking at having brand extensions, in the form of both on-ground and digital. Our digital platform is a step towards being more relevant to the audience, whom we cater. Campaigns like ‘Mera Josh Mahaan’ will help us connect with our audience through on air and on ground engagements.”

On the activities that RED FM will conduct, Narayanan said, “This World Cup, RED FM is doing multiple exciting activities to engage with its listeners.”

Slogan Contest, listeners will have to download the RED FM app and suggest slogan for the Cricket World Cup. Through the contest 12 lucky fans across India will get a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to England. Cricket fans can participate and win the opportunity to cheer for the Indian cricket team in England.

Score Jockeys, listeners get an opportunity to be a part of an exclusive on-air section called ‘Score Jockey’s’. Lucky ones will get a change to give score updates on-air in quirky and interesting ways

Bunk for India, listeners will have to download RED FM India app to get shortlisted for the ‘Bunk For India’ contest. One die-hard cricket fan will get the opportunity to bunk work without the pressure of losing their money as RED FM will pay their salary for 1-day, so that the winner can enjoy one full day of non-stop cricket unhindered.

Gupta Jike Wild Vichaar, standup comedian Appurv Gupta, popularly known as Guptaji will be featured on a series of World Cup centric comedy capsules called ‘Gupta Ji ke Wild Vichaar’, creating a perfect blend of humour and cricket. The videos will be live on our YouTube and Facebook channels.
