Mumbai: Rohit Talwar has been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of JSW Paints. He announced the news on his LinkedIn handle.
Sharing the news, Talwar wrote, “Thrilled to share that I am joining the exciting paints industry as Chief Marketing Officer, JSW Paints at JSW. Thank you Parth Jindal and Ashish Rai for the opportunity. The category is set to scale from $10 bn to $20 bn in the next few years and is seeing innovation + investment like never before. This presents a tremendous opportunity for the team and I to challenge the status quo with courage and agility. I can’t wait for this colorful journey to unfold.”
Reflecting on his professional journey, Talwar said he began his career with one of India’s first EdTech companies in 2000, which laid the foundation for his marketing career. He describes marketing as “exciting consumers, enriching customers and delivering business growth.”
“Over the last 20 years I have worked across local, global and expat assignments in Castrol, building multi-cultural teams that have challenged the status quo and delivered strong results. I am deeply passionate about creativity and taking the brand into new areas to engage consumers and customers in a meaningful way that makes a positive impact on communities,” he added.
Before joining JSW Paints, Talwar was Head of Marketing at Castrol India and a member of its leadership team, responsible for nurturing the brand across both core and emerging categories. Earlier, he also served as Marketing Director for Castrol in Vietnam, one of the brand’s key markets.
On a personal note, Talwar described himself as “a dedicated family man and a sports enthusiast, spending my time off work at the beach with my son and wife or playing tennis.”
