Mumbai: Saujanya Shrivastava has joined Paytm as CEO – New Initiatives.
Saujanya joins Paytm from MakeMyTrip–Goibibo, where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer – Flights, Holidays, Gulf and B2B, overseeing large-scale travel businesses across consumer and enterprise segments. In his new role at Paytm, he will be responsible for building and scaling new initiatives aligned with the company’s long-term strategic vision.
Announcing the new role on his LinkedIn handle, Saujanya shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as CEO – New Initiatives at Paytm!”
With over 25 years of experience across consumer-facing and digital-first organisations, Saujanya brings deep expertise spanning consumer insight, brand management, sales, P&L management, product marketing, marketing communications, vendor management, product management, and digital marketing.
Prior to MakeMyTrip–Goibibo, Saujanya has held leadership roles at several leading companies including Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Futurebazaar.com, Future Group, PepsiCo, Citibank, and Mondelez (Cadbury India Ltd.). He began his professional journey in 1998 at Mondelez, where he worked across roles including Brand Manager, Brand Sales Manager, and Area Sales Manager, building a strong foundation in brand building and sales leadership.
Saujanya’s appointment underscores Paytm’s focus on leveraging seasoned leadership to identify and scale new business opportunities, as the fintech major continues to evolve beyond payments into a broader digital ecosystem.
