Mumbai: Global real estate advisory firm Savills has announced the appointment of Emily Fell as Senior Director within its Asia Pacific Capital Markets team. Fell will spearhead the firm’s regional strategy in the rapidly growing Living Sectors, reinforcing Savills’ commitment to alternative asset classes.
This move comes amid surging investor interest in Living assets. According to the ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2025, over 90% of institutional investors identified residential as their preferred sector for investment into Asia Pacific markets this year.
In her new role, Fell will provide clients with advisory and market intelligence across multifamily, co-living, student accommodation, senior living, and hotels. With a career spanning over a decade, she has contributed to $4 billion in transactions, including a major Australian co-living equity raise and strategic guidance on portfolio disposals.
Her appointment also strengthens Savills Asia Pacific’s integration with the firm’s Operational Capital Markets (OCM) platform in Europe, which has facilitated over $25 billion in global transactions in the last 24 months.
Anurag Mathur, CEO, Savills India, said, “India is at the cusp of a transformation in its real estate landscape, with alternative asset classes such as senior living, student housing, co-living, and data centers witnessing strong traction. These sectors reflect the requirements of India’s young workforce, its ageing population, and growing digital economy. Emily’s appointment comes at a time when global investors are looking at India with renewed confidence. Her strong cross-border experience in the living sectors will further strengthen our ability to connect Indian opportunities with international capital and operating models.”
Emily Fell added, “The investment case for the Living Sectors in Asia Pacific is compelling. On a risk-adjusted basis, these assets offer the stable, durable income streams that institutional investors are searching for, and we are seeing significant growth in demand in markets like Japan, Australia, and South Korea. I am excited to work alongside Savills local sector specialists and to connect our clients to the best opportunities by leveraging the power of our Operational Capital Markets platform.”
