Shark Tank’s Alpino adds Shilpa Shetty as Brand Ambassador and Investor, secures $1.2 million funding

India: Alpino, known for healthy foods, named Shilpa Shetty, Bollywood star, as brand ambassador and investor after securing $1.2 million in funding with support from Paresh Ghelani and Aashar Capital angels.

Alpino has revolutionized the health food industry with a diverse product range solely based on Peanuts, making it the world’s unique Peanut product Company. With protein-rich products, Alpino aims to make healthy eating enjoyable by offering items like peanut butter, super rolled oats, super muesli, and the first peanut protein isolate powder. They plan to introduce over 20 new products in the next two years.

As a long-time fan of the brand’s signature peanut butter, Shilpa shared her excitement saying “I’ve always believed in living a balanced life—staying healthy, but without stressing over it too much. Alpino embodies this philosophy perfectly, they truly make healthy eating fun. Their natural peanut butter has been a staple in my home; my kids love it too. It’s a brand I’ve trusted and enjoyed, so when the opportunity arose to become a part of Alpino, it felt like a natural fit, just like their products.”

Despite a major setback from a warehouse fire in Surat causing over 2cr in losses and a 6-month operation halt, the brand made a robust return with “Alpino 2.0,” setting revenue records and showcasing resilience.

Proceeds will boost offline presence, drive global expansion, and fuel innovation. Alpino, a market leader with over 150% growth, has strong production and reach. It is a top seller on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, found at 6,000+ retail touchpoints in India and in 10+ countries globally.

Established in 2016 by Chetan Kanani, Hiren Sheta, Umesh Gajera, Priyank Vora, Milan Gopani and Mahatva Sheta, aiming to reach a 500Cr brand status in two years. Shilpa Shetty supports Alpino’s goal to boost India’s protein intake while maintaining taste.
