Chennai: Shruthi Subramanian, Associate Creative Director at Amsterdam-based LePub, has been appointed to the jury of the prestigious D&AD Awards 2026 in the Writing for Advertising category—marking another global recognition for one of the industry’s most awarded copywriters.
Subramanian, currently based in Amsterdam, has built an international reputation for innovation-led creative work spanning accessibility, healthcare, sustainability and science communication. Her appointment to the D&AD jury places her among a select group of global creative leaders tasked with judging excellence in advertising craft and effectiveness.
The Chennai-educated creative began her career in India as a freelance copywriter before studying copywriting at Miami Ad School, Berlin. She went on to work across major international agencies including Serviceplan Innovation in Munich and Pereira O’Dell in New York, before joining LePub Amsterdam, part of Publicis Groupe, where she now serves as Associate Creative Director.
Subramanian’s work has earned more than 100 international honours, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio and Webby awards. She was ranked the world’s No. 1 copywriter by D&AD and The Drum in 2024, and has been associated with globally recognised innovation campaigns such as Dot Pad, Space Trash Signs, WASTECARE and 855-HOW-TO-QUIT-(OPIOIDS). Her projects have also received SXSW Innovation Best of Show recognition.
Her D&AD appointment follows earlier jury roles including D&AD New Blood 2025, as well as speaking engagements at global creative platforms such as Forward Festival and institutions including the Deutsches Museum.
The D&AD Awards are among the world’s most respected benchmarks for creative excellence in design and advertising, with juries comprising leading practitioners across disciplines. Subramanian’s inclusion in the 2026 panel highlights LePub Amsterdam’s rising creative profile within the global network, particularly in innovation-driven and purpose-led campaigns.
