Mumbai: Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has announced that Siddhartha Roy has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer, marking the conclusion of a pivotal chapter for one of India’s most recognisable digital entertainment brands.
Roy’s departure brings to a close a significant era during which he played an instrumental role in scaling Hungama’s digital entertainment footprint across music, video, gaming, and emerging consumer experiences. Under his leadership, the company expanded its global reach, forged major partnerships across telecom, OEM and distribution ecosystems, and strengthened ties with content creators and studios. Today, Hungama serves millions of users across more than 90 countries.
Before joining Hungama, Roy co-founded BigAdda, one of India’s earliest large-scale youth networks, and held leadership positions at MTV Networks and Star TV. Across his career, he has been at the forefront of building digital products, driving audience engagement, and shaping new-age entertainment experiences for India’s evolving consumer base.
