Karnataka: A docu-drama, the show is crime based. It aims to create awareness amongst people about the crimes happening in their neighbourhood. In every episode, it will feature a story of crime which could happen to anybody at any time. Each episode will be full of fear, emotions and suspense, which will ensure that the viewer is engrossed and glued to the show.
Each episode will show how vulnerable people get when trapped by smart & clever criminals, who take advantage of their weaknesses. The fear of human beings and one wrong step taken by them leading to a major blunder, with unforeseen consequences, will be the highlight of the series.
‘Hushaar Karnataka’ is the only crime based show in Kannada General Entertainment Channel (GEC), which will build awareness about various crimes happening in and around people. It will have national level production standards and the anchor will play a major role in the narration of each story as it takes place.
The show is being anchored by ‘Dynamic Hero’ Devaraj. The immensely popular actor is hosting a television show for the first time. Devaraj has acted in more than 200 feature films in all 4 South Indian languages donning various roles. Whether it is hero, villain or other various characters, he has given memorable performances in any character that he has depicted on screen. Because of his dynamism, he is affectionately called as ‘Dynamic Hero’.
Devaraj commands huge respect & accolades from the people of Karnataka & other South Indian states. His career has seen him grab many awards. One of the most respected awards is that of Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal as the protagonist in the film ‘Veerappan’ in 1991. Prior to acting in films, Devaraj has performed in various stage plays under the guidance of Shankar Nag and B. Jayashree.
The persona of Devaraj will add a new kind of enthusiasm and dynamism to ‘Hushaar Karnataka’. The show will premiere on 14th Aug 2016 and will be on-air every Sunday at 8:30 PM on Star Suvarna.
