Chennai: Sun TV, in collaboration with leading production house Media Masons, has announced the launch of Top Cooku Dupe Cooku Season 2, premiering on August 17, 2025 with a special two-hour episode. Regular episodes will air every Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 3 PM.
Following its debut in May 2024, the first season of the Tamil cooking competition became an instant hit, pairing nine celebrity “Top Cooks” with nine less-skilled “Dupe Cooks,” mentored by three professional chefs. The finale crowned Narendra Prasad (NP) and Sujatha as joint winners, sharing a prize of ₹20 lakhs.
The tagline Rendu Dhaan Trendu encapsulates the theme of “double the fun” for the new season, which features two episodes per week, two anchors, two expert judges, and the continuation of the 2 PM weekend slot. Promotional teasers have generated significant buzz on social media, with audiences anticipating new twists and heightened energy.

Chef Venkatesh Bhat and Chef RamMohan bring their culinary expertise and camaraderie back to the judging panel, balancing light-hearted interactions with fair, precise evaluations. Hosting duties will be led by Rakesh, joined by Sivaangi Krishnakumar, whose humour and energy have made her a popular on-screen personality.
Season 2 promises fresh challenges, innovative cooking rounds, and a mix of entertainment and emotional moments, staying true to the show’s unique pairing format while introducing new elements to surprise viewers.
