Chennai: Super Chennai, the citizen-led movement dedicated to strengthening Chennai’s global identity, has announced the appointment of Karthik Nagappan as its new Chief Executive Officer. The leadership transition underscores the organisation’s renewed push towards cultural storytelling, civic participation, and positioning Chennai on the global stage.

Karthik currently serves as Vice President at Unifi Capital Pvt. Ltd., bringing robust experience across finance, media, brand building, and urban identity initiatives. His work across leading publications and campaigns has consistently spotlighted the spirit of Chennai.

Karthik played a pivotal role in several iconic Chennai-focused campaigns during his tenure with The Times of India and The Hindu, including the celebrated ‘Made of Chennai’ initiative and the widely popular ‘Chance-ey Illa’ campaign with composer Anirudh Ravichander.
