Bengaluru: Asamanya Kannadiga Awards, an initiative by Suvarna News and Kannada Prabha to identify-recognize-felicitate the unsung heroes who have made extraordinary contribution to the society will be held shortly in Bengaluru in presence of celebrities and dignitaries in Karnataka on grant award felicitation night.
This will be the second year of this prestigious event which is scheduled to take place on 28th October, 2016, 4:00 PM onwards at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium, Central College Campus, Bengaluru.
Suvarna News and Kannada Prabha along with a panel of judges have identified 15 people across Karnataka a total list of 729 entries received in all. The jury members of second annual Asamanya Kannadiga Awards includes Honorable minister Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Sri H.K.Patil, National award winning actor Sri Prakash Raj, award winning actress Bhavana and Right livelihood award winner Ruth Manorama.

The selected 15 awardees will be awarded at the prestigious “Asamanya Kannadiga 2016” award felicitation ceremony in one of the biggest Kannada media platms Suvarna News.
The chief guest the event will be Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. Siddaramaiah and Honorable minister of statistics and programme implementation, Govt of India, Mr. Sadananda Gowda.
