Bangalore: As the countdown to New Year’s Eve begins, Swiggy Scenes has unveiled an immersive on-ground activation titled “Un-Coop Yourself”, encouraging people to step out of their homes and experience year-end celebrations beyond their living rooms.
The activation features a striking life-sized wooden “coop” installed in a public space, recreating a familiar at-home New Year’s Eve scene. Complete with a couch, television, lamp and a lone individual sitting idly, the installation symbolises how many people find themselves cooped up indoors as the year draws to a close.
Designed to invite participation, the installation includes an interactive buzzer placed outside the coop. When pressed, the static setup dramatically transforms into a vibrant party zone with music, lights and a disco ball. The visual shift reinforces Swiggy Scenes’ central message—that New Year’s Eve is meant to be experienced, not spent indoors.

Speaking about the initiative, Supriya Shankar, VP, Swiggy Scenes, said, “As we bid adieu to 2025 and prepare to step into the new year, we wanted to remind people that the best parties aren’t happening on their couches. Un-Coop Yourself is our playful nudge to get people out and celebrate with friends and family. With Swiggy Scenes, discovering hyperlocal events from live gigs and rooftop parties to brunches is as easy as opening the app, where we currently have thousands of live events on the platform. The only thing left to do is show up instead of staying cooped up.”
The activation invites passersby to step inside the installation and experience the transformation first-hand, while also directing them to Swiggy Scenes to discover hyperlocal New Year’s Eve events—from parties and gigs to brunches and live experiences—happening across their city.
Swiggy Scenes is Swiggy’s hyperlocal discovery platform that enables users to explore events and experiences around them, helping people step out and make the most of what’s happening nearby during the festive season and beyond.
