New Delhi: Former CEO of Hathway Video Business Mr. T.S. Panesar has been named head of the DSport Channel business in India.
Panesar has a rich experience of more than 20 years in Media Broadcasting and Distribution business. He left Hathway last month after two years stint with the company.
He was instrumental in driving major changes in HathwayCable TV Business operations and launching of Value added Services (VAS) to the Hathway’s boquet of offerings.
With a commitment to deliver the biggest and best sporting moments from across the world to sports obsessed fans throughout India, Discovery Communications announced the launch of DSport, an all-new premium sports channel in India on February 6, 2017.
DSports is mainly focusing on non-cricketing games like Golf, Football, Horse Racing, Motorsports, Rugby and Edgesport with a strategy to extend opportunity to sample the premium sports content that were not available to them earlier and Panesar is expected to drive his focus in this direction.
