TAM ratings of South Regional GECs for week 34

As per the TAM ratings of South Regional GECs for week 34 pertaining to the period 16th August to 22nd August, the following are the ranking position and GRP score of GECs in various South Market:

GRP of Kannada GECs in week 34
RANKING CHANNEL NAME GRP (CS 4+)
1 Colors Kannada 344
2 Udaya 341
3 Zee Kannada 232
4 Suvarna 228

Observations on Kannada GECs in week 34:

  1. 1.Kannada GEC genre is seen to be declining and witnessed to drop by 9% from its previous week.
  2. 2.COLORS KANNADA witnessed to be the only channel garnering viewership compared to last week with a rise of 9% in Wk 34’15.
  3. 3. UDAYA has dropped to 2nd position wherein COLORS KANNADA garnered top position in Wk 34’15.
  4. 4.COLORS Kannada garnered higher viewership due to the Game Show “DANCING STAR-JUNIOR” & Comedies “MAJA TALKIES” in Wk 34’15.

Observations on Malayalam GECs in week 34:

  1. 1. Malayalam GEC genre have witnessed a minimal rise of 3% in viewership levels in Wk 34’15.
  2. 2. Asianet garnered 7% of its viewership level in Wk 34’15. SURYA garnered 2nd position pushing Mazhavil Manorama to 3rd position in Wk34’15.
  3. 3. Mazhavil Manorama & FLOWERS witnessed a fall in viewership level in Wk 34’15.
  4. 4. Asianet garnered viewership majorly due to Feature Film”AVATHARAM” & Game Show “KOKOS SELL ME THE ANSWER” & “COMEDY STARS SEASON 2” in Wk 34’15.
  5. 5. SURYA Garnered viewership majorly due to the event show “MALABAR GOLD SOORYATHEJASODE AMMA” & Featutre Films “ANJAAN, HOUSE FULL, MANIKYAKKALLU” in Wk 34’15.

Observations on Tamil GECs in week 34:

  1. 1. Tamil GEC genre witnessed to come back to its viewership levels with a drop of 16% in Wk34’15.
  2. 2. SUN TV witnessed a drop of 17% from its previous week, similarly, VIJAY also witnessed a drop of 14% in wk 34’15.
  3. 3. JAYA TV witnessed to return back to its average level witrh a drop of 45% in Wk 34’15.
  4. 4. Zee Tamil maintained its viewership levels due to Action/ Thriller show “CID” & Game Show “GENES” in Wk 34’15.

Observations on Telugu GECs in week 34:

  1. 1. Telugu GEC Genre has maintained its viewership level with a minimal drop of 1% in Wk34’15.
  2. 2. GEMINI have returned to its threshold levels with a drop of 13% maintaining its 3rd position in Wk 34’15.
  3. 3. MAA & Zee Telugu have maintained its leading positions in Wk 34’15 with a minimal rise in viewership levels on 2% & 3% in Wk 34’15.
  4. 4. MAA garnered maximum viewership in Weekend prime time slot in Wk 34’15 due to the Events/Awards show “FAIR AND LOVELY CINEMAA AWARDS-2015”. Zee Telugu garnered viewership due to Weekday Serial “MUDDA MANDARAM” in Wk 34’15.
