As per the TAM ratings of South Regional GECs for week 35 pertaining to the period 23rd August to 29th August, the following are the ranking position and GRP score of GECs in various South Market:

Observations on Telugu GECs in week 35

  1. 1. Telugu GEC Genre has maintained its viewership level with a minimal drop in Wk 35.
  2. 2. MAA and Z telugu have shuffle their leading positions wherein Z Telugu garnered it in Wk 35 with a gain of 4% in viewership levels.
  3. 3. ETV Telugu garnered 3rd position with a gain of 7% in viewership levels in Wk 35.
  4. 4. Z Telugu garners viewership basically through its Weekday Serials “MUDDA MANDARAM” & “VARUDHINI PARINAYAM” &  Weekend Feature Film”INDRUDU” in Wk 35.

Observations on Tamil GECs in week 35

  1. 1. Tamil GEC genre garnered 9% viewership levels in wk 35.
  2. 2. SUN TV witnessed returned to its viewership levels in Wk 35’15, whereas, VIJAY also witnessed a drop of 6% in wk 35.
  3. 3. Z Tamil, Jaya TV & RAJ TV witnessed a rise in viewership levels from its previous weeks. Kalaignar TV & Puthuyugam garnered a fall in viewership levels in Wk 35.
  4. 4. SUN TV garnered viewership thru weekend properties a Feature Film “ANJAAN” & Film Based Magazine “PULI ISAI    VELIYEETTU VIZHA” in Wk 35 and in weekdays thru Serials “DEIVA MAGAL, VAMSAM, PRIYAMANAVAL & VANI RANI”.

Observations on Kannada GECs in week 35

  1. 1. Kannada GEC garnered a minimal of 4% viewership levels in wk 35
  2. 2. UDAYA have garnered its leading position with 6% rise in viewership levels in Wk 35. COLORS KANNADA have maintained its viewership levels in Wk 35
  3. 3. Suvarna garnered 6% viewership and garnered 3rd position in Wk 35. Even Kasturi have garnered a sudden rise in viewership levels.
  4. 4. UDAYA garnered viewership majorly thru Feature Film “SIDDHARTHA,ADYAKSHA”. Similarly, Colors Kannada garnered    viewership thru Talent show “DANCING STAR-JUNIOR”

Observations on Malayalam GECs in week 35

  1. 1. Malayalam GEC genre have witnessed a rise of 20% in viewership levels in Wk 35 due to Onam Festival.
  2. 2. Asianet garnered 7% of its viewership level in Wk 35, similar to last week. SURYA garnered 46% viewership levels whereas Mazhavil Manorama & FLOWERS have garnered around 25% viewership levels.
  3. 3. All the Malayalam GEC channels garnered higher viewership majorly on Thursday & Friday in Wk 35 due to Onma Special properties.
  4. 4. Asianet garnered viewership majorly through Feature Films “ORU VADAKKAN SELFIE, ENNUM EPPOZHUM, THINKAL MUTHAL VELLI VARE”. Similarly, SURYA garnered viewership thru Feature Film “BHASKAR THE RASCAL, VILLALI VEEERAN, RAJADHIRAJA”.
