Mumbai: Tata Communications, a leading global communications technology player, has announced the appointment of Siddhartha Mundra as its Chief Financial Officer. He will join the company as Chief Financial Officer–Designate on February 23, 2026, and will take over as Chief Financial Officer on May 1, 2026.
Mundra brings over 22 years of diversified experience spanning corporate finance, strategy, business operations, private equity, and technology. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles within India’s largest business conglomerates, including in a listed company.
He currently serves as Vice President and is part of the Group CFO & Group Strategy Office at Tata Sons, a position he has held since December 2020. Prior to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Shankara Building Products Limited. His earlier roles include Director at Fairwinds Private Equity and Associate Vice President at ICICI Venture. Mundra began his professional journey as a software engineer with Cisco Systems in Bengaluru.
Academically, Mundra holds a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and graduated with a Gold Medal in B.Tech Computer Science from NIT Warangal.

The company stated that the selection of Siddhartha Mundra as Chief Financial Officer was made by the Board at its meeting held on February 10, 2026, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee of the Board.
