New Delhi: Ujjwal Chaurasia, popularly known as Techno Gamerz and managed by influencer marketing agency OpraahFX, has crossed the landmark milestone of 50 million subscribers, becoming Asia’s biggest gamer. The achievement marks a significant moment in his digital journey and reflects the rising global influence of Indian gaming creators.
From borrowing phones to play games as a child to building one of Asia’s largest gaming communities, Ujjwal’s growth story highlights years of consistency, experimentation and creative evolution. He began creating gaming content in the mid-2010s, when India’s gaming ecosystem was still nascent. Unlike many early creators who focused on a single title, he diversified across multiple games and formats, establishing himself as a versatile storyteller.
He was also among the early Indian gaming creators to produce tutorial-based content for amateur players, well before gaming education became mainstream on platforms like YouTube.
“From childhood, I had a love for gaming. I would borrow my brother’s phone to play and spend hours on our family PC; those were my early days. Then I realised that people upload their gaming videos online. Back then, my friends thought that I was a great gamer and looked to me for tips. Encouraged by that, I started making tutorial videos for my friends, to teach them,” says Techno Gamerz about the birth of his gaming identity.
What started as a hobby evolved into a full-time profession with the support of his brother, who encouraged him to launch his YouTube channel in August 2017 and guided him on monetising gaming content. He later launched a second channel, Ujjwal, in January 2018, expanding his digital footprint and diversifying his content strategy.
Today, Techno Gamerz is known for immersive, story-driven gameplay across popular titles such as Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft, Ranch Simulator, Garena Free Fire, Red Dead Redemption 2 and PUBG. His mod-based storytelling, distinctive voiceovers and family-friendly positioning have helped him cultivate a loyal audience spanning age groups and geographies.
Speaking about the milestone, Techno Gamerz said, “I am extremely grateful to my audience for helping me reach 50 million subscribers. This milestone feels surreal and is a reflection of the love and support I have received over the years. My goal has always been to create content that genuinely entertains and connects with people.”

The milestone comes amid rapid expansion in Asia’s gaming industry. According to Lumikai’s annual State of India Interactive Media and Gaming Report FY24, prepared in collaboration with Google, the Indian gaming market is projected to reach $9.2 billion by FY29. Techno Gamerz’s subscriber growth mirrors this broader industry trajectory, reinforcing his position as one of Asia’s most influential gaming creators in the evolving interactive entertainment landscape.
