Mumbai: The eighth edition of the Times of India Sports Awards is set to take place on March 21, 2026, at The Centrum Hotel in Lucknow, bringing together some of the biggest names and breakthrough performers from across India’s sporting landscape.
Positioned as a reflection of a dynamic year in Indian sports, TOISA 2025 will celebrate achievements spanning cricket, athletics, shooting, badminton, chess, para sports and more—highlighting both headline-grabbing victories and consistent performances across global competitions.
The 2025 edition captures a year marked by India’s continued dominance in white-ball cricket, including major ICC tournament successes, alongside strong showings in athletics and para sports, where Indian athletes secured podium finishes at global events such as the Asian Athletics Championships and the World Para Athletics Championships.
Among the prominent nominees are athletes like Neeraj Chopra in athletics, Smriti Mandhana in women’s cricket, and Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa in chess, alongside a diverse mix of emerging and established talent across disciplines.
Categories span a wide spectrum, including Sportsperson of the Year, Emerging Sportsperson, Team of the Year, and sport-specific honours across more than 30 disciplines, reflecting the breadth of India’s sporting ecosystem.
