New Delhi: Truemeds, one of India’s largest substitution-focused e-pharmacies, has partnered with veteran actor and Padma Shri awardee Paresh Rawal to build awareness around affordable substitute medicines for patients managing chronic conditions.
The platform aims to help individuals and families reduce their monthly medicine expenses by offering affordable branded substitute medicines, while ensuring access to commonly prescribed drugs at lower prices.
Known for his relatable on-screen presence and strong connection with Indian households, Rawal is widely trusted for portraying everyday characters with authenticity. His persona aligns with Truemeds’ customer-centric philosophy—grounded, practical, and focused on solving real-life challenges faced by patients and families.
Through this association, Rawal will represent Truemeds’ commitment to building trust and empowering users, particularly those managing chronic conditions, to make informed decisions about safe, effective and affordable substitute medicines.
The campaign features two brand films built around relatable, everyday insights.
The first film, “Samjha Karo,” highlights the often-unspoken burden of rising medicine costs. It portrays a father who postpones his own treatment to prioritise his daughter’s needs, reflecting the silent sacrifices many families make while managing long-term health expenses. The narrative positions affordable substitute medicines as “Samajhdar Medicines,” a thoughtful and informed choice that can ease financial pressure without compromising quality.
The second film, “Thoda Aur,” draws on the common habit of seeking small savings in everyday situations while assuming that medicine costs are fixed and unavoidable. The film challenges this perception by highlighting how branded substitute medicines sourced from the top 1% pharmaceutical manufacturers in India can reduce monthly medicine bills by up to 51 percent, offering significant savings for individuals undergoing long-term treatment.
Commenting on the campaign, Akshat Nayyar, Co-founder & CEO, Truemeds, said, “For many families, medicine costs quietly become a monthly stress- often forcing people to delay or skip their own treatment to manage household needs. That reality is what Truemeds is built for. Paresh Rawal represents the trust and relatability we want people to feel when they choose us. Through Truemeds, we want individuals and families to know that quality medicines can come at the lowest prices, and that choosing smart substitute options can make long-term care more manageable without compromise.”
Sharing his thoughts on the association, Paresh Rawal, Brand Face, Truemeds, said, “For most families, medicine expenses add up month after month, especially when someone needs long-term treatment. If there are reliable options that cost less and don’t compromise on quality, people deserve to know about them. That’s what I liked about Truemeds- it helps families manage healthcare without constant financial worry.”
Unlike platforms primarily focused on delivery speed, Truemeds emphasises cost-effectiveness and informed decision-making. Users can upload prescriptions or search for medicines online, after which trained health advisors or doctors assist them in identifying scientifically matched, high-quality branded substitute medicines and explain the options clearly, enabling users to switch with confidence.
With a growing nationwide presence, Truemeds aims to address one of India’s largest out-of-pocket healthcare expenses—medicine costs. The association with Paresh Rawal marks a key step in the company’s mission to make quality medicines more affordable, accessible and sustainable for households across the country.
