Mumbai: UniAcoustic has announced the appointment of Manasi Bharadwaj as Head – Design and Development, marking a strategic move in the company’s journey to build a globally benchmarked, design-led acoustic solutions portfolio for modern workplaces.
As UniAcoustic expands its footprint across global workplace environments, the company is sharpening its focus on design as a strategic differentiator — not only in product performance, but also in how solutions are experienced, specified, and integrated into large commercial spaces. The appointment reflects UniAcoustic’s ambition to introduce acoustic products and workplace solutions that combine global design sensibilities with strong technical depth and execution rigour.
In her new role, Manasi will be responsible for shaping UniAcoustic’s design direction across products, applications, and workplace environments. Her mandate includes developing a robust design framework to support the company’s growing product portfolio and translating design intent into scalable solutions for enterprise and multinational clients.
With over 18 years of experience in corporate workplace design and integrated design-and-build environments, Manasi brings a deep understanding of how design strategy, standardisation, and delivery excellence must align in large-scale commercial projects. Her expertise positions her to lead the evolution of UniAcoustic’s design capability as the company moves toward globally relevant product storytelling, specification-ready solutions, and high-impact design portfolios.
Over the course of her career, Manasi has worked with CBRE, JCTPL Design, Team One Architects, and Edifice Consultants. She has played an active role in delivering regional design initiatives and large workplace programmes for global organisations including Kaiser Permanente, Schaeffler, Syngenta, AkzoNobel, Broadcom, UPS, Finastra, Emerson, and Capgemini. She has also been closely involved in developing workplace standards and repeatable design frameworks across geographies.
At UniAcoustic, her focus will be on building a future-ready design ecosystem that supports the development and application of acoustic products aligned with global design benchmarks, ensuring consistency, performance, and clarity across diverse commercial environments. She will also play a key role in strengthening collaboration between design, technical, and delivery teams to enable efficient execution without compromising design intent.
Commenting on the appointment, Shabbir Rajkotwala, Managing Director, UniAcoustic, said, “As UniAcoustic continues to develop advanced acoustic products across a wide range of applications and industries, design leadership plays a critical role in how performance, material innovation, and sustainability come together. Manasi’s experience will help strengthen how our products are designed, specified, and aligned with evolving environmental standards, as we build a responsible and future-ready acoustic portfolio.”
Sharing her perspective, Manasi Bharadwaj said, “I was drawn to UniAcoustic because of its intent to build a design-led acoustic product portfolio that introduces capabilities and design thinking not commonly available in India today. The opportunity to contribute to creating thoughtful, high-performance products — rather than working within existing templates — is what excites me about this role.”
