Mumbai: The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) Season 2 is all set to return with bigger scale and excitement, broadcasting on Zee Bollywood, &Pictures HD, Anmol Cinema 2, and streaming on ZEE5. Starting 24th December 2025, fans nationwide can enjoy electrifying kabaddi matches featuring some of India’s most dynamic talent, supported by high-octane Hindi commentary and action-packed gameplay.
Over the years, ZEE has leveraged its extensive network to build successful sports IPs. With its strategic partnership with UPKL, the network aims to elevate the league into one of India’s most powerful state-level sports properties, offering a compelling platform for advertisers and stakeholders. The league, promoted by brand ambassador Rahul Chaudhari, has emerged as a strong advertiser-led platform, drawing growing viewership and widespread fan engagement.
Speaking on the broadcast association, Bhavesh Janavlekar, Business Head – Zee Sports, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, said, “Z’s sports strategy is anchored on championing indigenous sports and UPKL offers a strong opportunity to elevate regional excellence to the national stage. Kabaddi holds a deep emotional resonance in Indian households, and through the extensive reach of these channels airing the league, we look forward to further strengthening this connection. With the league’s rising popularity and its highly engaged, diverse fan base, UPKL offers strong value for brands. We remain committed to elevating this league and ensuring its long-term success.”
Sharing his thoughts, Sambhav Jain, Founder & Director, SJ Uplift Kabaddi, added, “Having UPKL broadcast across three channels this season, along with the addition of OTT, significantly expands the league’s reach. This distribution allows us to connect with viewers across different regions and age groups. With daily matches scheduled between 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., audiences now have far greater access to the action, whether on television or digitally. We see this as an important step in strengthening the league’s visibility and ensuring that more households across the country can experience UPKL.”
Season 2 will feature 69 matches across 18 days, delivering immersive kabaddi entertainment with detailed Hindi commentary, bringing fans closer to every move, tackle, and raid. The expanded broadcast and digital distribution is set to further popularize kabaddi and solidify UPKL’s position as one of India’s leading state-level sporting leagues.
