Gurugram: VAMA.app, India’s fastest-growing FaithTech platform, has announced the launch of Vama TV, a first-of-its-kind in-app content vertical featuring spiritual micro-dramas. The launch marks a strategic expansion of VAMA’s ecosystem as it deepens its focus on blending India’s ancient spiritual traditions with contemporary, mobile-first content consumption.
Vama TV introduces short-form, mythology-led entertainment that brings stories of Bharat—its temples, deities, traditions, and Sanatana dharma—to life through studio-quality spiritual micro-dramas. Built entirely in-house, the AI-powered productions enable VAMA to deliver consistent, high-quality narratives at scale while retaining creative independence and speed across multiple series.
The platform’s inaugural series, Hanumant Shani Leela, debuted with 10 episodes, each approximately 90 seconds long. The series revisits revered temples and mythological stories familiar from childhood, reimagined for millennial and Gen Z audiences across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in a format optimised for mobile viewing.
Commenting on the launch, Manu Jain, Co-Founder & CEO, VAMA.app, said, “The spiritual consumption patterns in India are fundamentally shifting. The generation that grew up with Ramayana and Mahabharat on Doordarshan now has children who consume content on Instagram and YouTube. Today’s spiritual seekers—especially millennials and Gen Z—don’t just want to book a puja; they want to understand the ‘why’ behind it. They want stories that connect them to their roots. Vama TV is about creating that cultural context and emotional connection that transforms individual seekers into a community of engaged devotees.”
Vama TV will continue to expand its content slate with new micro-drama series exploring temple histories, pujas, and stories of revered deities, with fresh episodes releasing weekly. All content will be available free to users within the VAMA app for a limited period.
Beyond content, VAMA.app is scaling its broader FaithTech offerings, including expanding its temple partnership network, strengthening its VAMA Mall spiritual e-commerce vertical, and developing upcoming offline spiritual travel experiences. With 1.5 million lifetime users and over 500,000 pujas facilitated to date, VAMA has positioned itself as a comprehensive digital destination for authentic spiritual engagement. The launch of Vama TV further reinforces its ambition to become a holistic spiritual companion for modern India.
