Mumbai: Vedanta Group has announced the appointment of Sonal Choithani as its Group Chief Brand & Communications Officer, marking a strategic move in the company’s journey toward its “Vedanta 2.0” vision. Sonal brings over two decades of diverse experience in corporate communications, brand strategy, and stakeholder engagement across multiple industries including finance, FMCG, renewable energy, and natural resources.
Prior to this elevation, Sonal served for five years as Chief Brand & Communications Officer at Vedanta Limited, followed by a one-year tenure in the same capacity at Hindustan Zinc, another key company under the Vedanta Group umbrella.
Confirming her new role, Sonal announced on LinkedIn, “6 years, 3 roles, 1 Group. And the love for metals continues. Excited to step into my new role as Group Chief Brand & Communications Officer at Vedanta Group. Throughout her career, Sonal has led integrated brand and communication campaigns across digital, print, and experiential platforms, consistently delivering results in media visibility, stakeholder trust, and customer engagement. Her cross-sector experience is expected to further strengthen Vedanta’s brand narrative and positioning as it transitions into a global leader focused on sustainable growth and innovation in critical industries.
