Mumbai: Versuni India, formerly known as Philips Domestic Appliances, has announced the appointment of Amlan Pati as Marketing Director & Business Head – Kitchen Appliances. The move comes as the company sharpens its focus on accelerating growth and strengthening its leadership position in India’s rapidly expanding kitchen appliances segment.
In his new role, Amlan will be responsible for driving marketing strategy, portfolio expansion, and business growth for Versuni’s kitchen appliances portfolio in India. His mandate includes deepening consumer engagement, strengthening go-to-market execution, and building sustainable brand equity across both offline and digital channels.
Amlan brings over 14 years of cross-category experience spanning marketing, category leadership, and business strategy. He joins Versuni India from Samsung Electronics India, where he most recently served as General Manager – Category Head, Galaxy S Series. In that capacity, he led the flagship smartphone portfolio, steering portfolio strategy, premium positioning, and market execution in one of the country’s most competitive technology categories.
Prior to Samsung, Amlan was associated with CavinKare, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s e-commerce division. He led the launch of its direct-to-consumer (D2C) website and spearheaded the introduction of its first D2C brand, Buds and Berries—marking a strategic shift toward digital-first consumer engagement.
Earlier in his career, Amlan was part of the marketing leadership team at realme, contributing to the brand’s rapid establishment and growth in India’s smartphone market. He has also worked with Panasonic, building experience across consumer electronics, FMCG, mobile technology, and digital commerce.
An alumnus of the International Management Institute New Delhi, Amlan is a Distinguished Alumnus Awardee of the institute. Over the years, his work has earned multiple industry accolades.
