Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (‘Z’) has significantly expanded its syndication vertical, strengthening its ability to unlock incremental value from its extensive content library across digital platforms and international markets.
As part of the expansion, the Company has secured a Multi-Channel Network (MCN) licence and onboarded over 350 channels into its syndication ecosystem. The move enables ‘Z’ to manage, distribute and monetise content at scale across leading digital platforms, reinforcing its presence in the rapidly growing creator and short-form content economy.
In line with evolving consumption patterns, particularly mobile-first viewing, ‘Z’ has also entered into strategic partnerships to repackage its content into new-age formats. This includes a collaboration with Story TV, under which select titles from its content library are being adapted into vertical-format, short-duration episodes tailored for mobile audiences.
The syndication business is simultaneously expanding the Company’s global footprint through foreign-language dubbing and regional partnerships across Europe, Africa and Latin America. The initiative is aimed at monetising Indian content among diverse international audiences and strengthening its overseas distribution strategy.
Further diversifying revenue streams, ‘Z’ has begun monetising its intellectual property across audio platforms. Audio remake rights have been initiated for legacy titles such as Zee Horror Show, with several additional shows in the pipeline for audio-first adaptations. The move reflects growing demand for reimagining established television IP into podcast-style and audio streaming formats.
The Company has also made progress in monetising non-exclusive digital rights for its film library, while converting select shows and movies from traditional horizontal viewing into vertical formats to improve discoverability and engagement on short-form and syndication-driven platforms.

Speaking about the growth of the syndication vertical, Vinod Johri, Business Head – Syndication, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said, “Syndication has become a powerful growth lever for us by allowing our content to travel further, adapt faster and monetize smarter. With our MCN network, global partnerships and focus on new formats such as vertical video and audio adaptations, we are building a future-ready syndication engine that unlocks sustained value from our content library.”
The developments underline the Company’s broader push toward platform-agnostic content monetisation, as it continues to repurpose, localise and distribute its IP across geographies, formats and screens in a bid to maximise long-tail value.
