Zee Entertainment forays into kids’ genre with launch of ‘KidZ’ on ZEE5

Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (‘Z’) has announced its entry into the kids’ entertainment segment with the launch of KidZ, a dedicated kids’ destination on ZEE5 offering age-appropriate, safe, and engaging content for children from toddlers to teens.

KidZ marks a strategic expansion of ZEE’s family-focused entertainment slate and will bring a curated mix of 140+ titles in multiple languages through a dedicated profile on ZEE5, available across devices. New content will be added every Friday, ensuring a continuous pipeline of fresh entertainment for young audiences.

As part of the first programming phase, KidZ will showcase popular animated shows such as Boonie Bears, Vir, Chacha Bhatija, and Inspector Chingum, complemented by iconic legacy IPs from ‘Z’. The platform has also collaborated with leading Indian and global content creators to deliver 30+ engaging animated titles.

ZEE is further leveraging its in-house content capabilities to roll out a premium slate of KidZ Originals beginning December 2025—programming designed to blend storytelling with learning in a fun, interactive format.

Going forward, we remain committed to building KidZ as a trusted and premium destination for quality children’s programming.”

The move aligns with the company’s long-term strategy, outlined in its May 2025 investor presentation, identifying kids’ entertainment as a high-growth, value-accretive segment. With rising consumption among younger cohorts across screens, ZEE aims to scale its offerings and tap into this rapidly expanding market.

KidZ is now live on ZEE5. Viewers can explore the new kids’ hub and preview the action-packed lineup on the platform.
