Hyderabad: Zee Telugu is all set to bring the world television premiere of the much-acclaimed romantic action-drama Thandel to viewers’ living rooms on Sunday, June 29 at 6 PM. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, the film opened to glowing reviews upon its theatrical release in February and is now making its highly anticipated debut on the small screen.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel draws inspiration from true events involving fishermen from Srikakulam who inadvertently crossed into Pakistani waters in 2018. The narrative centers around Raju (Naga Chaitanya), a courageous fisherman, and his childhood love Satya (Sai Pallavi), whose lives are turned upside down by a fateful storm and a gripping international conflict. The film is a rich blend of romance, action, and patriotism, and has been celebrated for its storytelling and emotional depth.
