Mumbai: Adding to its list of world digital premieres, ZEE5 premieres Rishi Kapoor, Jimmy Sheirgill and Sunny Singh Nijjar starrer Jhootha Kahin Ka on the 22nd of October.
Produced by Vinay Gupta, Deepak Mukut, Anuj Sharma and directed by Smeep Kang, Jhootha Kahin Ka is a comedy-drama that showcases the story of two boys who go to Mauritius to study and love it so much there, that they are reluctant to return home.
Rishi plays Omkar’s dad who turns up from the village to surprise him and is in turn surprised by his son’s lifestyle. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill in a quirky-desi character. The film is perfectly punctuated with situation humor and is a delightful watch.
Aparna Acharekar, Programming Head, ZEE5 India said, “Diwali is an important time of the year where people spend time at home and are keen to watch some good content with their loved ones. We have been trying to acquire films, which are family entertainers and Jhootha Kahin Ka perfectly fits the bill. It is an absolute binge watch film, packed with drama and comedy.”
ZEE5 also acquired rights for Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya and Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi earlier this month.
In addition to this the platform also has a robust film library which includes films like URI- The Surgical Strike, Simmba, Sonchiriya, PADMAN, Veere Di Wedding, Mulk, Parmanu, Tashkent Files, Kedarnath, The Accidental Prime Minister to name a few.
