Mukund Cairae, ZEEL Chief Operating Officer – International Business, has decided to move on after a stint of more than 16 years with the media conglomerate.
Cairae, who assumed the role of COO, was responsible for managing the international linear broadcast business, Sports business, worldwide film distribution, international ad sales, program sales and film production. Local consumer businesses in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Latin America.
Cairae joined ZEEL as Vice President – Distribution for the Asia Pacific in July 2004. He held the positions of vice president – International Ad sales & Distribution Asia Pacific, Vice President – Program Sales, International Advertising & Distribution Asia Pacific.
Cairae was heading the Sports Business of ZEEL India before taking up the COO position. As the Head of Sporty Business, he has Set up Sports IP in India which includes, Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal – a regional Wrestling league encouraging participation from the grass-root level and ZeeBangla Football League – a regional Football league to identify the best of budding sporting talent in East India.
Cairae worked with Videocon Consumer Durables as General Manager of the Sales & Distribution vertical. Before that, he worked at Kotak Life and Amadeus India in sales and marketing roles.
