Bangalore: ZEISS has announced the elevation of Baskar Kesavalu as Head of Product Development, Vision Care Solutions, reinforcing the company’s focus on strengthening global leadership and accelerating transformation across its Vision Care portfolio.
In his new role, Kesavalu will be based in Bangalore and report directly to Eric Nehrbass, Head of Vision Care Solutions, based in Germany. Effective March 1, 2026, he will focus on building and leading a high-performance product development organization responsible for delivering innovation on time, within budget, and with exceptional quality standards.
Kesavalu joined ZEISS India in 2025 as Head of Vision Technology Solutions (VTS), bringing over three decades of experience in product development and management. Prior to ZEISS, he held senior leadership roles at GE HealthCare, where he led global product development and management functions. In his expanded global mandate, Kesavalu’s responsibilities will include overseeing the new consultation platform, driving signature innovations, and integrating ZEISS Solution Partner products into the broader Vision Care ecosystem.
