Bangalore: This Ganesha Chaturthi, Superhits 93.5 RED FM, in association with the Bangalore Traffic Police, gave the city’s festive spirit a powerful purpose with its social awareness campaign, “Second Chance Nahi Milega.” Conducted from August 18–29, 2025, the initiative urged Bengalureans to prioritize helmet usage and responsible riding, reminding citizens that while mythology gave Lord Ganesha a second chance, in reality, “your head won’t.”
Through engaging on-ground activations across 20+ high-footfall locations such as Indiranagar, Rajajinagar, Basavanagudi, MG Road, Koramangala, Silk Board, HSR Layout, and Mekhri Circle, RED FM RJs and the Bangalore Traffic Police interacted with riders. Those found without helmets were not only counseled on road safety but also gifted ISI-marked helmets for a safer fresh start.
The campaign was further amplified with on-air RJ interactions and digital storytelling, sharing commuter experiences and reinforcing the message that “Your head won’t get a second chance – protect it before it’s too late.”
Suresh Ganesan, General Manager – Karnataka, RED FM, said, “Through ‘Second Chance Nahi Milega’, we transformed festive celebration into civic action. By linking the wisdom of mythology with modern road safety, we didn’t just tell people to wear helmets—we gave them a reason they could never forget.”
Karthik Reddy, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Bengaluru City, added, “We are very happy with the initiative taken by 93.5 Red FM where they took up Second Chance Nahi Milega campaign. They created awareness about the importance of helmets & they gave free helmets to the two-wheeler riders who were not wearing helmets. I just want to tell the youth and the other two-wheeler drivers that a helmet is not for the fear of law but it is for your own safety. Kindly drive safe and go home safe.”
With “Second Chance Nahi Milega,” 93.5 RED FM and the Bangalore Traffic Police turned devotion into action, inspiring citizens to adopt helmet safety as a lifelong habit—because when it comes to life, there truly are no second chances.
