Mumbai: Lokmat, Maharashtra’s and Goa’s no 1 newspaper announces Maharashtra’s highest platform of recognition – UPL presents Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards powered by Karrm on 5thApril, 2017 at NSCI (Worli) in Mumbai. This year the awards cover 14 categories as social service, politics, sports, arts, entertainment, medical, business, administration, infrastructure and lots more. There are 72 nominations from people across the state. The online voting is open on lmoty.lokmat.com. Voting is open till 28th March 2017.
The aim is to appreciate the exceptional contribution of various renowned and distinguished personalities in their respective fields. The awards are a testimony of the positive impact and contribution made by people in their individual capacity and their efforts in putting Maharashtra on the Indian and Global standards.
In the line with the grandeur and success achieved last year, the jury panel this year too comprise of veterans including Nitin Gadkari –Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways& Shipping, Dr. Prakash Baba Amte – eminent social worker, Arnab Goswami – veteran journalist, Milind Deora – former MoS, Mahesh Bhatt- renowned Indian film director, Vikram Limaye – MD & CEO, IDFC, Sunil Sood- MD & CEO, Vodafone India, Vikram Shroff – Executive Director, UPL, Dr. Ramakanta Panda – renowned Cardiologist, Vijay Darda- Chairman, Lokmat Media and Mrinal Kulkarni – popular actress.
