Mumbai: Network18 has appointed Kshipra Jatana, Group General Counsel, as its representative on the board of the News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA), succeeding the company’s Managing Director, Rahul Joshi.
Jatana currently heads legal, policy and regulatory affairs at Network18 and also oversees regulatory and government affairs across the broader group and its joint ventures. In her role, she is responsible for shaping the company’s legal and regulatory strategy, supporting business growth, and strengthening governance frameworks.
With extensive experience in legal, regulatory and policy matters across the media industry, Jatana has played a key role in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape for the Network18 group.
Prior to joining Network18, she served as General Counsel and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at MIH India. She has also held legal leadership roles at Star TV and worked with law firm AZB & Partners.
Jatana’s appointment to the NBDA board comes as Network18 continues to strengthen its engagement with industry bodies and regulatory stakeholders amid the rapidly evolving media and digital ecosystem.
She replaces Rahul Joshi, who has represented Network18 on the NBDA board during his tenure as Managing Director. Joshi joined Network18 in September 2015 and has led the expansion of the group’s news broadcasting and digital businesses, overseeing brands including CNBC-TV18, CNN-News18, News18 India, Moneycontrol and Firstpost. Under his leadership, the company significantly expanded its presence across television, digital news and business media.
