Bengaluru: Kannada entertainment channel, Udaya TV, is set to premier the blockbuster kannada movie “Chowka” on Sunday, 23rd July at 6PM onwards.
Chowka is one of the biggest Kannada blockbuster of 2017. The film, despite being three hours long, manages to keep one engaged throughout the narrative and also provides old-fashioned entertainment with a positive message to the youth in the end.
Kannada GECs are in the middle of a huge channel war, fighting for the viewership pie and the market is witnessing plenty of new launches. As an additional effort they are also premiering new movies to garner Movie GRP to add up to their consolidated numbers.
The movie was the 50th film from DwarakishChitra and TharunSudhir’s debut as director and the film that will leave a lasting experience for Sandalwood fans and Kannada Film Industry. The Movie “Chowka is a multi-starrer film that has a great supporting cast has a unique story that combines entertainment and a message for the youth about their contribution to the society.
The film initially kicks off in the city of Bangalore in 1986, followed by 1995 in Mysore, 2000 in Mangalore and 2007 in Vijayapur. The present day is depicted in 2017, in the Central Jail of Bellary and ends in the Suvarna VidhanaSoudha premises in Belagavi. The story depicts the journey of four youngsters from four different eras end up in jail for no mistake of theirs. However, they reconcile to their fate until they meet an old man in jail (Kashinath) who is also wrongly jailed. He inspires them to not waste any more of their lives and built a strong hope within them and also stirs up a passion towards reform is the tagline of the story.
The Director TharunSudhir proves to be a good storyteller and he created a strong vibe through Chowka with the help of his talented technicians and cast and the producers Dwarakish and Yogish Dwarakish Bungale put a lot of effort into film making and create adds to its charm and appeal.
The film gives a rich experience and is a visual treat for the audience and all also with its mesmerize songs contributed by one of the finest 5 music directors, V. Harikrishna, V. Sridhar, ArjunJanya, Gurukiran and AnoopSeelin have composed film’s background and scored for its Lyrics for the soundtrack was penned by JayantKaikini, YograjBhatSiddayaiahPuranic, SanthoshNaik and Chethan Kumar.
