Awarded for the Best Achievement in Sound Editing at the Oscars, Arrival is directed by Denis Villeneuve and stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker in lead roles.
Based on the 1998 short story ‘Story of Your Life’ by Ted Chiang, the movie follows the aftermath of the arrival of 12 alien ships. An expert linguist Louis Banks (Amy Adams) is recruited by the military to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat. As she begins to communicate with the aliens, she begins experiencing vivid flashbacks that become the key to unlocking the greater mystery about the true purpose of their visit.
