Bengaluru: Brahmagantu, aired on Zee Kannada at 10 PM, is the story of an aspiring sportsman Lucky’s tryst with an obese girl Gundamma. While their seemingly normal lives created many unparalleled entertainment avenues for viewers, in a sudden turn of events, Lucky and Gundamma found themselves married adding a jolt of unexpectedness to their future. While Gundamma tries her best to fulfil her role as a wife, Lucky remains baffled at the idea of being married to an obese girl. Taking advantage of this situation, Lucky’s family members choose to make Gundamma’s life extremely difficult.
As the story moves forward, the upcoming weeks’ episodes of Brahmagantu will see Gundamma Geetha, a familiar name in every Kannada-speaking household, decide to take up the challenge of learning Kabaddi, inspired by her father-in-law Narasimhanna, Constantly shunned by her state-level Kabaddi champion husband Lucky for being obese, Gundamma will use this as the perfect opportunity to try her hand at the man’s sport, determined to win her husband’s heart.

While TS Nagabharana essayed the role of the father in law Narasimhanna, Bharath Bopanna plays the role of Lucky and Geetha Bhat dons the role of Gundamma.
