Mumbai: Sony Pictures Sports Networks will premiere The Ultimate Fighter Season 26, A New World Champion, starting November 20, 2017. The 12-episode series will be telecast at 8 pm on weekdays on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD with the finale to be aired live on December 2, 2017.
The Ultimate Fighter 26 is an instalment of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which is a part of reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter. This season will exclusively feature the women’s flyweight division, with the goal of crowning UFC’s inaugural 125-pound champion in the season’s finale. All women who were currently on the UFC roster were allowed to submit their names for the tournament, as were the female athletes unsigned by the UFC.
The first episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 26 – A New World Champion” will open with a throwback at the pre-season try-outs that took place earlier this year with the sixteen fighters from around the world that finally qualify to compete this season. Coaches Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje are selected to lead the teams in a tournament that is pre-seeded by UFC matchmakers. The list of fighters includes Ultimate Fighter alums, a UFC veteran, a former Invicta FC flyweight champion and a laundry list of top competitors all looking to make a name for themselves by working their way through the tournament until one would stand tall. Viewers can expect plenty of twists and turns this season which will keep them glued to the screens.
