Chennai: The grand finale of Vijay Television’s reality show Super Singer held on July 15th at Nehru Indoor stadium (SDAT) Chennai, announced Senthil Ganesh as the winner of the title and he also gets an opportunity to sing in music director A.R. Rehman’s composition. The event was also live telecasted on Vijay television.
Out of the 5 finalists, Senthil Ganesh emerged as the title winner of the year long singing talent show. Launched in 2006, the reality show hunts for the best singing talents and has been a huge platform for many striving talents to showcase their singing skills. The show has also provided many contestants an opportunity to be a playback singer in cinema.
The event witnessed captivating performances from the finalists , the celebrity judges and other contestants. After months of rigorous musical battle in various rounds in front of legendary musicians, singers and celebrities, these top six contestants gave their best and tough competition.
Among them, makkal isai artist Senthil Ganesh won the prestigious title and the priceless chance to sing in the musical maestro AR Rahman’s composition. The runner up title has been bagged by Rakshitha and the third place has been bagged by Malavika.
The performance and the speech from the traditional folk artists moved the audience. The event gave spotlight to the artists who keep the art alive.
Adding feather to the crown, makkal selvan Vijay Sethupathy graced the occasion with the team of his upcoming movie – Seethakathi where the making of the movie was unveiled exclusively, the also actor felicitated the weavers on stage. The event saw lots of music and emotions.
