Cochin: Malayalam Entertainment Channel, Mazhavil Manorama has signed up with the format owners of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC – Originally Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?) to telecast the upcoming season of the game show in Malayalam,titled “Ningalkkum Aakaam Kodeeshwaran” (NAK)
Apparently, this will be the first time; KBC Malayalam version is being aired in Mazhavil Manorama, as all the previous four seasons were aired on Asianet.
The famous actor Suresh Gopi, who decorated the hot seat in previous seasons, will be hosting this season on Mazhavil Manorama.
Targeting digital audience, the show will be streamed on Manorama Group’s newly launched OTT platform “Manorama MAX”, in addition, various digital audience engagement initiatives and digital exclusive innovations will be rolled out.
The channel has started airing teaser promos. The call for registrations will be announced shortly. The show will be tentatively aired on November 2019, while the exact telecast date will be announced later.
The inaugural season of Malayalam KBC started in April 2012 with actor Suresh Gopi on hot seat and 2nd edition happened in March 2013 and 3rd edition in December 2014.
The 4th edition was launched in 2017 with modification in format and the upcoming edition will become the 5th season of the format in Malayalam language.
