Chennai: Jaya TV Network has appointed industry veteran K Murugan as its new Business Head. He will be responsible for Content, Sales, Marketing, Distribution function and other revenue possibilities.
Jaya TV Network presently operates three satellite channels Jaya TV – GEC in Tamil, Jaya Max – Music Channel in Tamil and a Movie Channel – J Movie. Murugan will be reporting to Vivek Jayaraman – COO of Mavis SatcomLtd., that operates Jaya Network.
Murugan is a seasoned professional with more than 28 years of experience in TV, Print and Radio industry. Prior to this he was associated with SRM Group-owned Vendhar TV as Channel Head for the past 5 years.
Before joining Vendhar TV, Murugan was with Zee Tamil as AVP Sales, looking after Ad Sales function. He started his career with Sun TV Network and played multiples roles during his 15 years of stint with the company. He was also instrumental in launching the FM Network of Sun TV during its initial phase.
