Mumbai: With India successfully administering 1 billion COVID vaccine doses, Just Dial witnessed a sharp 82% QoQ rise in searches for COVID vaccination centres across India’s 1000 plus towns and cities.

Besides vaccination centres, demand for disinfectant liquids (82%) and preventive medicines (19%)  also shot up on India’s No.1 local search engine, reports the latest Just Dial Consumer Insights.

Just Dial, a hyperlocal online search engine, analysed the consumer data from more than 1000 towns and cities for the latest report on pan-India consumption pattern for COVID-related services and products.

Most of this demand for COVID-related products and services was from the Tier-I cities of Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, followed by Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. In terms of growth rate, Pune, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad were the top three Tier-I cities that saw maximum rise.

For vaccination centres, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore were the top-3 Tier-I cities with maximum searches and among Tier-II, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, and Palakkad were the top-3.

The QoQ demand for disinfectant liquids also shot up by 82%. Among Tier-I cities, Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad were the top-3 with maximum demand while in Tier-II cities- Indore, Kanpur, and Patna were the top-3.

Demand for preventive medicines also rose by 19% and that for COVID-testing labs remained steady with a marginal QoQ growth of 5%. Among Tier-1 cities, Pune, Chennai, and Mumbai were the top 3 cities that witnessed maximum demand for COVID testing labs while Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad saw maximum demand for preventive medicines.

Among Tier-II cities, Chandigarh, Solan, and Indore were the top-3 that saw maximum demand for preventive medicines while Ernakulam, Patna, and Jaipur saw high drive for COVID testing labs.

Among others that were also in demand on Just Dial were blood pressure monitors and hand wash liquids. Blood pressure monitors saw a 10% rise in demand while that for hand wash liquid also remained steady with a marginal 2% growth.

For blood pressure monitors, demand remained high in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai among Tier-I cities and in Lucknow, Chandigarh, and Patna in Tier-II cities. Demand for hand wash liquids, remained high in Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad among Tier-1 cities and Thrissur, Varanasi, and Ernakulam in Tier-2.
