BARC Week 33: South channels remain intact without any significant changes in pecking order

BARC Week 45: South channels remain intact without any significant changes in pecking order

BARC India released its Week 33 data for South GEC markets including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. The positions in the top five list remained unchanged for all the markets.

Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)

In the Tamil speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2351.95 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1515.02 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Zee Tamil at 3rd spot with 798.54 (000) AMA. KTV retained its 4th spot with 772.56 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay Super with 394.22 (000) AMA at 5th spot.

Kannada (Karnataka) 

In the Kannada speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Zee Kannada continued its lead with 1368.72 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 897.93 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Udaya TV at 3rd spot with 504.55 (000) AMA. Star Suvarna stood at 4th spot with 467.44 (000) AMA followed by Udaya Movies at 5th spot with 384.96 (000) AMA.

Malayalam (Kerala)

Among the Malayalam speaking market, the positions in the chart remained unchanged compared to last week. Asianet continued its lead with 861.93 (000) AMA followed by Mazhavil Manorama at 2nd spot with 228.04 (000) AMA and Flowers TV at 3rd spot with 176.49 (000) AMA. Zee Keralam retained its 4th spot with 159.65 (000) AMA followed by Surya TV with 158.85 (000) AMA at 5th spot.

Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana)                                 

In the Telugu speaking market, the top four positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Star Maa continued its lead with 2460.24 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu at 2nd spot with 1296.47 (000) AMA and ETV Telugu with 957.06 (000) AMA at the 3rd spot. Gemini TV retained its 4th spot with 623.65 (000) AMA. Gemini Movies entered the chart with 565.11 (000) AMA and claimed the 5th spot.
